The evening of Friday 4th September saw a hit and run accident, leaving a woman hospitalised for precautionary measures as reported in YourHarlow.

Mark Hall Councillor, Lanie Shears has written to Conservative Essex County Councillor, Mike Garnett, calling for action on the dangerous junction.

The full letter is below:

Dear Councillor Garnett,

 

I am writing with respect to the junction of momples Road and 1st avenue.

 

I am sure you are aware of the latest accident there last Friday.

 

I hope you would agree, that  there is an issue of safety at this junction.

 

When junction 7 is built the additional traffic along 1st avenue will cause further issues of safety unless it is dealt with prior to junction 7 being built.

 

Residents in the area have been concerned with this junctions safety for a while, actually some have written to ECC voicing concerns previously.

 

As county councillor for the division covering  this junction, please would you support residents in their request for a roundabout?

 

I look forward to hearing from you soon, as do the residents of the area served by the junction.
