The killing of George Floyd at the hands of U.S police was shocking and horrifying. Harlow Labour offers its condolences to the friends and family of George Floyd at this time. We also offer our solidarity to those protesting in the US and we stand shoulder to shoulder with those fighting against systematic racism in the U.S and the U.K.

We believe the British Government for its part should do the same by putting diplomatic pressure on the President to stop the brutal retaliations against protestors. The Government should temporarily halt all sales of riot shields and rubber bullets to the U.S, if these brutal retaliations continue.

We believe that swift and significant action should be taken to tackle the outcomes of the report into the disproportionate BAME deaths from Covid-19.

Harlow Labour stands in unity with our BAME community in Harlow. Harlow Labour believes that racism and prejudice has no place in our society, and we stand with our BAME community in the fight against racism in all its forms.
