Over 80 members of the Harlow Labour Party logged onto Zoom on Monday 15th February for its Annual General Meeting. This meeting is held to elect the Executive Committee which oversees running the Local Party.
Newly elected Chair Phil Waite said:
“It was good to see so many people turn up to the meeting, especially a lot of new members who have only joined the party recently.
The new Executive Committee has been elected with the sole purpose of making sure we win the set of local elections in May. This will ensure we can continue to deliver for the residents of Harlow.”
Rhiannon Jenkins the newly elected Vice-Chair of Membership said:
“It was always going to be difficult to hold a meeting in the middle of a global pandemic. Therefore, having so many people turn up virtually was amazing.
Hopefully by the time our next AGM comes around we will be able to hold it in person.”
