Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Harlow and The Villages

Chris is the Parliamentary Candidate for Harlow and The Villages. He has been a ward councillor in Harlow for six years, fighting against the Conservatives’ reckless management of Harlow Council he served as the Labour Group leader until May 2024, where he chose to instead focus his attention on the General Election campaign by speaking to residents about what they want and need in a Government, plus sharing his policy ambitions with voters across Harlow and the Villages.

Get Britain building again

Following strict rules that strengthen public finances and by reforming planning laws, so we build more houses, giga factories, windfarms, roads, labs and ports, developing the skills needed to do so.

A Labour Government will:

  • Take tough decisions to restore economic stability and secure our economy.
  • Reduce energy bills and invest in the jobs and industries of the future via our Green Prosperity Plan and Great British Energy, a new publicly owned clean generation company.

Paying doctors and nurses overtime to work evenings and weekends to cut the backlog – paid for by closing the loopholes in Rishi Sunak’s non-dom plan and cracking down on tax dodgers.

A Labour government will:

  • Cut waiting times by giving the NHS the staff and technology it needs.
  • End the 8am scramble for GP appointments and giving patients a choice of appointments in person or on the phone.

Harlow District Ward Councillor

Chris Vince was elected in 2018 for Little Parndon & Hare Street ward . Since becoming councillor, he has been a director of HTS, and the council’s mental heath champion. Chris is has served in a number of roles, including the Leader of Harlow Labour until May 2024.

Chris works tirelessly for his community, including organising community litter picks and hosting local ward surgeries. Chris also cares deeply about his ward residents’ views that he canvasses regularly in order to capture his community’s views on local issues and the direction of the council.

Aside from being a councillor, Chris works for a local charity and can often be found supporting Harlow Town Football Club.
