At the at the recent Civic Event to remember the 75th anniversary of D-Day, it is always a pleasure to meet our local veterans. Councillor Frances Mason spoke to Richard Edser in his early nineties, he wanted to get his message out about the decline in public transport in Harlow, saying ‘because the buses don’t come around my way!’ He was keen to talk to someone on the impact of the declining bus services across the town, in particular towards the older generation in Harlow.

Our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Laura McAlpine, has raised the issue of public transport and is looking at other community options. Labour has also announced it will investigate vehicle excise tax as a way of funding public transport.
